Engine: 305 tbi
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 2.73
88 camaro diagnostic/security/ what is this?
I was sitting in my car one day and noticed somthing strange. right above my left knee, under the drivers side vents, i saw somthing sticking out that belonged on a key ring. i tugged at it, and out it ame, exposing what im assuming to be my diagnostics. on the little piece, it says'' anti theft device'', has a crown on it, and the car will not start without that chip in. the first thing i need to know is is this obd I? ALDL? and also, is this a stock thing for these cars, or is this some kind of kill switch idea sombody bought into a while back? its old and worn, definitely not anything new. heres some pictures....
