melted connector
I have a 92 3.1 liter and i was looking under the hood and there is a connector that I don't know what it goes to, but it is melted some. It is near the Drier. Also if anyone can help me with ac problems that would be cool too. My cooling fan wont turn on and the clutch to the compressor won't spin either.

Re: melted connector
IIRC, when I was pulling my wiring apart, I though that connector was a little melty too, but it ended up just being old dialectric grease or something. I think that particular connector connects the HVAC controls to the rest of the engine harness.

If it still won’t run the fan motor is defective.
If it does run remove the jumpers and make sure the fan is grounded.
If it is you have an open circuit from the hot in run circuit that was energizing the relay or the direct feed.
If it runs ground the fan switch in the engine.
If it runs the switch is bad.
