car no start!

Just hoping to get some thoughts on what symptoms you get when your starter is dead. Besides, of course, that it wont start. My guages pin and the voltage looks likes it drops a bit but it doesnt even turn over. I also cant here any relay on the starter click. Im gonna crawl under there tonight and check the wires and maybe replace the starter. Any alternative measures will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have VATS? If you do it could be the VATS wires coming out the bottom of the steering column are touching. Sometimes the shielding on these wires slides back and the copper is exposed.

Well as it turns out the starter was fine. Not really sure what it was but it had something to do with the alarm system in the car. I got it running but as soon as u touched the brake it would die. Seems that there is a switch to kill the engine. Who knew? I hate messing around with someone elses wirirng disasters.

Thanks though..
