Constant run relay

Hi,
i have 1986 irocz and I was reading in the service manual about a constant run rely. Do any of you all knows where and what exactly the function is? I read the short piece in the book but there is not much details about it.

thanks in advanced!

Re: Constant run relay

If you have a service manual for 86, in page 1B-3, it says there is constant fan relay that suppose to eliminate compressor cycling when idling. Not sure where to find it though...

Re: Constant run relay

Well there ya go , so it keeps the A/C compressor running full time at idle . Interesting to note that it says "some cars" , I'm 100% certain I've never encountered any of those "some cars" and still question if any of those cars are actually only the very earliest third gens ? I've seen plenty of 86 and up third gens and haven't seen the relay in question .
