Hi guys, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I just purchased a 1990 Camaro RS 305 5.0 TBI, and I noticed this wire with connector the the top driver side corner inside engine bay. Would anyone know what this wire is for? thanks!
No, probably not that... that would more likely be over on the other side. At least, in cars that have them, that's where it is.
There are LOTS of options that any given car might have come with, and not all, or maybe even VERY few, had them. That may be one such. If there's nothing there to plug it into, and everything you ACTUALLY have works, then, … maybe it's one of THOSE things.
I'd say that it is the fuel pump prime/test connector. Although I've never seen it as a black wire with with that type of connector (usually a red wire). But that is where it would be. To use it, key-off, then run a jumper from that connector to battery +. That should run the fuel pump.
Having only two relays on a VIN E Camaro TBI is correct. One for the fuel pump and the other for the cooling fan (no A/C or MAF relays).
The odd thing is the lack of an ESC module (knock filter). It should be mounted to the front of the relay bracket.

Not a relay, but a module. After I thought about it I just figured someone carb swapped the engine and removed all of the EFI stuff. Can see the module in several of hte pictures in this thread:
