Anyone used a painless wiring harness??
I've been looking at the 12- circuit pro-street assembly: start, ignition, electric water pump, radio, electric fan, electric fuel pump brake lights lights, wipers, turn signals, flashers, horn and coil.
I'm not using the A/C or Heater. And I have a manual transmission. All the gauges will be from Auto meter.
has anyone ever installed one of these? I want to be sure this will work before I remove the rest on the wiring. I already took out the ecm wire and engine wiring. Is there something i'm missing? I have no power locks or windows, but my hatch is electric. I guess i could run a circuit to the supplied fuse block for that, eh?
I tell you what, there is a whole lotta F'in wires behind that dash, and alotta boxes that wires get plugged into. It's probally so F'ed up now, I have no choice but to get a new painless harness.
So, Do you believe I picked the right choice harness, and
are these acually [[[pain]]] less????
Thanks

Well, I'm doing the exact same thing starting in about two weeks. Except I'm using the 18 circuit harness. I have an 87 Z28 with a carb 350 and 5 speed. I all ready stripped out the engine wiring harness, but I still want to get rid of all that old stuff behind the dash and replace with new.
I'm sure we'll all be asking/answering alot of questions on this topic!
