Northern Aluminum Radiator

I have a NEW northern 31x19 radiator. It is part # 555-51176 from Jegs. I installed it in the car but dont like the idea of having to modify my upper radiator support or using a custom support to use it. I cant return it because I dont have the box and modified the top and bottom of it. Basic modification was bend down the top and bottom rails so that it will fit using a rubber mallet. Radiator has had no coolant added and other than the rails bent down is in New Condition. I paid 179.99 for it. Asking $120 plus shipping.

Re: Northern Aluminum Radiator

555-52009 is the correct number. I bought this radiator from someone on here and thats the number they provided. I'm sorry about the confusion. I didnt verify the number before I posted it. It was a while ago so maybe the numbers changed. I'm still working on pictures but I will have them soon, hopefully tonight. I never used it so its all brand new. The pictures will highlight the small modification made to it.

Only reason i'm getting rid of it is because im selling my car and scrapping my project and this was left over

Re: Northern Aluminum Radiator

By the way. If you want to put this into an auto car you will need a tranny cooler as this radiator does not have one built in. I have a brand new tranny cooler kit that I will sell for $20.

Mine does. When I lowered my base, I made a 1" spacer to keep the condenser in the same location.

Thanks for the assitance dave. I dont have the personal experience of installing this thing. There are a lot of posts about it in the cooling section of the forums though that will really help.

Mine might be different. But it was about 1" too high without the upper support in there. Like, it would actually hit the hood. I lowered it about a inch and modded the upper plastic bracket a little and it fit like factory. Well, if you dont count cutting the lower support "like factory."
