LS2 GTO-hybrid T56 Transmission, or T5/Muncie Upgrade

SOLD

A 1999 LS1 core unit. Can be used directly behind a LSx motor, or to replace a T5/Muncie trans with Adaptor plate.

Brand New LS2 GTO mainshaft

Double/Triple Synchros from LS2 C5 corvette. (33%-50% more friction area for smoother, stronger shifts)

Rebuilt to 700+ lb-ft TQ rating

MM6 gear ratios (Same as LT1/LS1 T56, not wide ratio found in GTO)

Carbon-fiber synchro blockers on all gears. (No degrading stock paper lined ones)

Steel 3/4 shift fork. (No more bending stock aluminum one)

Upgraded viper-spec 2nd gear. (Resists stripped engagement teeth on hard 2nd gear shifts)

Billet synchro keys on 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 synchros, new OEM keys on Rev. (Eliminates broken stamped stock keys that account for 50% of repairs)

Bronze shift fork pads on all (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, Rev) shift forks (No more popping out of gear because worn plastic factory pads wear away)

Performance shimming on mainshaft and countershaft. (maintain tight gear lash, even when case heats up and expands )

Rebuild fully photo-documented. Pictures sent upon request.

LS1 Bellhousing available for $150

Can be mounted to Tremec Adaptor plate for using a T5/Muncie/SFI(lakewood) bellhousing/clutch/linkage with this strong double-overdrive 6speed. Adaptor plate available for $200

$2000 + Paypal fees + S/H (Averages about $130) or meet within 100mi of 19711.

Re: LS2 GTO-hybrid T56 Transmission, or T5/Muncie Upgrade

I'm very interested in tranny and adapter plate. How does the adapter plate work for T5 and what size drive shaft? Had custom Gforce t5 w/ billet parts, hardened shafts, in our 91 Z28, but tranny exploded. Need something strong as upgrade. Live in DC area so we could probably pick up. Also, what is bottom dollar? Thanks, Steve
