14" Edelbrock Air Cleaner w/ K&N Filter & Edelbrock 1002
I have a 14" Edelbrock open element air cleaner with a K&N filter for sale. I have two bottom pieces for it, one is like it is right out of the package, the other is the same but with the hole drilled in it for the air censor for TBI models. The filter has maybe about 9000 miles on it. The picture shows it with a paper filter but I am selling it with a K&N filter, I just didn't have a picture of it.
I also have an Edelbrock 1002 Pro-Flo Series Air Cleaner. It has about 3000 miles on it, the foam is still in perfect shape. I used it on my 386hp engine and it worked perfect, I just personally wanted a round open element air filter instead.
It was 30 for the cleaner assembly and 50 for the filter. Plus I'm including the other bottom. I figure 1/2 of what I paid sounds good, plus $5 to ship. So $45
Is that a drop or flat base housing? What's the height of the K&N filter? I really already have a nice air filter housing. If you're willing to separate, what would you want for just the K&N filter shipped to 44077?
killa66cam: I had this on my 305 TBI. Then I put that engine into a different firebird, same hood, but the intake and carb from another 305 went on it. The filter still fit. Then I swapped out the intake and carb for an Edelbrock Performer intake and an Edelbrock Performer 600cfm, still fit perfectly.

Hey not trying to thread jack but i've been meaning to ask this for a while just seems like a waste of a whole thread. I have a proflo filter on my car now and it just has enough room, just i've heard a few things about it i didn't like so i found another breather that fits (like the one in the first picture just not sure of the size). Will i loss any air flow going from the proflo to a normal style breather and a K&N filter? thanks.
No problem. So you have the one like the one in the second photo? That's a pro-flo filter. The triangle one. But I believe they also make some round ones they call pro-flo.
If you have a buyer interested in the K&N filter, I need a new air filter housing like the one in the first picture. Mine is all scratched and marred. If he's willing to buy the filter, I'll buy the housing provided it's in nice shape. Let me know.

I have the triangle one, do you think there will be a change in air flow?
plasmeh: I have another cleaner top and bottom with a regular filter like the one in the picture but the top has some scratches on it. I'll let it go cheap if someone really wants it. I can take a picture of it later tonight.
xbox07: I used that triangle one. It is rated at 1000cfm and I believe it. I felt like it was the best one I used up until I got the one I have now, a spectre 8 inch at 800cfm. Anyway, I read a lot of people saying bad things about the black foam filter in it so I figured I'd look to see if I could find a regular kind of filter for it, but found there are none. However, I have used that one on my 305 and 350 with 386 HP and I used one exactly like it back in 92 on my 69 chevelle with a 350. I used that one for about a year and never had a single problem.
I got it at autozone for 20 bucks. The triangle cleaner got pressed down on by my hood since my intake sits higher than the stock intake. This one I got at Autozone is never touched by the hood and flows great, at least 800cfm, maybe it said 860cfm, don't remember. But it's more than enough. So if your triangle of death clears the hood now but you're worried about getting enough air through and the melting foam thing, get a Spectre 4770, it will leave even more room, reusable filter and it looks good.
