1988 AUSTRALIAN 'AUSSIE' COMPLETE 9 BOLT REAR END 3.70 gears w/ Disc Brakes
Australian built borg warner 9 Bolt rear end. Very rare and strong rear end with disc brakes, baking plates, etc... ready to bolt in. Very clean condition.
Only 59000 miles on this rear, 2000 miles on gears, no rust, excellent condition. Hook up your lines and you're ready to drive.
Will ship anywhere. I will add photos soon...

"Very rare"? It was standard equipment on ever GTA built until the last year or so when GM has supply problems getting them (and gearing up to drop them to continue the 10-bolt in 4th gens) & came on most IROCs (if not all).
So are they "rare"? Only by the definition that there were more 10-bolts built & that the 3.70 ratio (which anyone can change like your 2,000 mile gears), but they don't exactly fit the definition of 'rare". And they didn't get the bigger discs w/better aluminum calipers until 1989, so it should have the smaller discs & iron Delco calipers on it.

Actually, that is a rare rear-end with 3.70 gears to me as I have never heard of any thirdgen with a 9 bolt and 3.70 gears standard at all. The most i ever seen standard was 2.77, 3.27 and 3.45. I have a 9 bolt also rear end in my race car with 4.10 gears that I purchased almost 10 years ago and still going strong even with slicks on. And by the way, they are way stronger than the factory 10 bolts that came in the thirdgen no matter what gear you put in them. I have when thru 2-10 bolt rears one with 3.73 and one with 4.10 gears.
Bump for a nice and strong factory rear end with 3.70 gears.
