Powder coat is high temperature powder coat will take up to 2000°, lemon headers are much much better than Ed Quay but are way more expensive, I replaced my Ed Quays with a set of lemons. I Have a racecraft K member in my car but I believe they will work with any K member even the factory one, but the factory one has to be modified. I will post some pictures later this afternoon

Re: Ed Quay BBC Headers
right now I have the UMI K member. and plan on using the GM set up power steering..
(can go to a Rack set up. if I have to..as every thing changed. in putting the car together)
started with sphons K member did not like it..got rid of it.after 1 hr..
picked up UMI's K Member... like the fit..
can always go another way....with a phone call..
when thinking powder coat..I was thinking the reg powder..plastic powder stuff...like they toss on every thing now days..

how do you like the Lemons over the Ed Quay. for finish. did you get the ceramic coat finish? ($400+ on top of the $1500)..

Re: Ed Quay BBC Headers
When I bought the Quay headers they did not fit at all spent 18 hours at exhaust shop to have them made to fit, if fact when we dynoed the motor, the tube on drives side hit one of the bosses on the block. We had to machine the block to make them fit so we could dyno the motor. If I was buying new set of headers again for a BBC in a third GEN I would buy the lemons, they fit like a glove absolutely no problems but yes they’re expensive. I did not get him to coat them wanted to make sure that they fit first, I just sent them off to be coated after I test fit them
