NEED A REPLACEMENT 350

I need a 350 for my 88 Iroc. if anyone has one, I am in the Greenville,SC area. The old one is locked up and shredded inside. I don't necessarily need the TPI system, as I can save the one from the previous motor. I'm also considering dropping a 383 in it, if anyone has one for a reasonable price.

I have a fresh 400 I am in OH though but would be willing to ship. LMK if interested. I would do $1000 for shortblock stock crank, rods, hyper pistons, lunati cam. milodon pan, mellings pump, moly rings never been started. would do $1500 for long block with bowtie phase 2 heads

Hey ive got a 88/89 Jasper Rebuild Block 350,heads,pistons,crank and rods that iwill get rid of. the only thing is that it has been sitting for about a year. Nothing seemed to be locked upu the crank will turn, pistons and chambers look fine the heads might need to new valves, srings and rockers because somebody tookt he valve covers off and i didnt know. The motor was supposed to have only 32,000 miles on it when i got it. Too good of a deal i couldnt pass up but i havent needed it because mine is still running. email me if ur interested korruptrosco@yahoo.com in KY 100 bucks u figure out how to get it.

what part of texas, Nathan? how much are you asking? would you be willing to ship or possibly meet somewhere? Is there anything else wrong with it other than the leak? I am VERY interested. Thanks.

i'm definitely willing to ship.. Nothing else is wrong with the engine..I live in San Antonio and really want to get rid of it. make me an offer..you don't need a harness do you? because mine was carbed..but the engine is complete all the way up to the intake,, but i can take the intake off since you want to change it back to tpi..it was a tpi motor from an 89 as i posted earlier.

nah, i don't need the intake. if our deal works out I plan on switching it back to TPI like you said. However, I am worried about having to buy new parts, since the 89's had different proms, ecm's, etc. But I guess that's more of my problem. How much are you looking for? I'd need about a week if you're looking for under 200, since I get paid every week(at a low-paying job, not to hate on BK or anything.) how much are you wanting to ship it here? I am willing to negotiate, if you are, since I really don't wanna have to fork out 1200 to get a reman 350 from the local auto parts store. I don't really know what to offer you, since I've seen so many different offers and don't wanna rip you off or rip myself off. I guess just get back to me, let me know if you're willing to wait for me to get the money, and know that I really appreciate your offer. As I said before, I am VERY interested. Thanks again.

yeah I still have the serpentine setup. does the engine need to be rebuilt? Most I've looked into needed to be taken to a machine shop...badly. I'm not saying you're trying to rip me off, just curious. 200 sounds good. I'll need a week or two to get it, though, if you're willing to wait on me. lemme know what you wanna do shipping wise. I appreciate your help. Thanks yet again.

the engine doesn't need to be rebuilt; however, i'm not too familiar with shipping something of this size..do you think you could speak to somebody more knowledgeable about shipping so we can get this done.

I talked to my father about your offer (he works with cars) and he said shipping it would probably be several hundred dollars . He said he wouldn't drive out there to pick it up(I'd drive myself if my car had an engine), so I don't really know what to do now. Also, he seemed really uneasy about me buying this engine from you, mainly because you're so far away. I try to have faith in people, but he...doesn't. He said something along the lines of "you need to buy one locally, so if the guy's screwin' you, we can beat his ***", or something like that. Anyway, I still am interested. Of course, if you do decide to go with shipping it to me, I could pay you back for the shipping charges either in payments or altogether(if you feel like waiting long enough for me to collect that kinda money). Also, if you can get any pictures of the engine so I can A) get an idea of its condition and B) try to rest my dad's worries. wow this is really long; sorry to make you read all of this. Anyway, as I said before, I am still interested. In the meantime, let me know what you want to do, and I'll discuss the whole situation with my brother(who used to have an 89 Iroc, and is doing most of the work fixing my 88). Thanks again, Nathan. Hope to hear from you again.

well let me take the intake off this week and the valve covers so you can see for yourself..i would take the heads off but thats something i've never done and well its really your call..i understand your dad, but i mean my dad thinks i'm an idiot selling it for 200. he think i should sell it locally for around 300 just for the short block..the engine is in good shape..i'll let you know. this pic won't help you much.. its a pic from last year before i bought a new carb..

I'll be saving my weekly checks for a few weeks, so I'll have the money to buy it if/when we get everything squared away. just curious...why are you selling this engine? are you getting a new one or what? just wondering. My dad said you're probably selling it because its fried...but like I said he's pessimistic. Thanks again. Get back with pix or just a reply, whatever. Thanks again.

i'm selling it because i bought a volkswagen jetta....my car wasn't a looker, but i put this engine in because i was planning to restore the car, but that never materialized.. the engine is good..was running as recently as few days ago..can't run with the carb off that i already sold for a 100 on ebay... but its not fried....i am a good person i like to think..i always offer refunds to those who are unsatisfied. also..what did you want pics of? i have never taken an engine apart, but if you would like to see the inside i suppose i'll have to learn..

I don't personally need any pix of the inside...maybe just a general picture of the engine. Is it still in the car? j/w. Don't waste your time taking it apart. I'm not gonna make you do that. Let me know what you decide shipping wise, so I can figure out how long I need to tell you I need to get the money. As I said before, I work a **** job at fast food(hope to leave it soon) but needless to say the pay isn't great. So, of course, as you probably already know, I'll need around 2 weeks to get the 200, and then whatever it will take to help cover shipping charges. I still need to discuss everything with my brother..he's on vacation right now so I haven't been able to get ahold of him. Um...I think I was wrong about 89 ecm's etc. being different...I've looked around and I think my 88 ones(which I forked out 200 for a new ecm and new computer) should work with it(cross my fingers). Anyway, get back to me...oh and a quick question...do you know of any specific headers that would be a good fit on both the 89 engine and my 88 car? Right now, the car has the exhaust manifolds goin into the y-pipe and ending right after a single-chamber flowmaster. I'll probably have to get that changed if I get too many "disturbing the peace" tickets. But yeah, just get back to me, and I'll check back here when I can(got school in the morning, work in the evening) but I'll try to whenever I can. Thanks again.

Nathan, I may have found an engine alittle closer to home, if you know what i mean. I'm still interested in yours, in case this guy is just tryin to screw me over. If you can, hold onto it for me until I get everything figured out. Nothing's final yet. I appreciate everything so far...and i still may end up buying your engine. Just wanted to give you a heads up, so you're not like "wtf, you a@@hole!". Hit me back.

I have a 3 that you might be interested in. I'm on the west side of Atlanta near 6 flags. I have a 350 out of a 91 trans am was running good a couple of years ago when pulled. Its been sitting in my basement and is now locked up, I think the rings are rusted to the walls. I don't want to force it to see if it will break loose. I bought that one to totally rebuilt so I'm not worried about it being locked up. I have a 350 out of a 91 Z28 with 46k on it that ran great. The guy I got it from was installing a 400 based 383 stroker. I also have a 350 out of another 91 Z28 with about 20k since rebuild. bored .030 over with trick flow aluminum twisted wedge heads with 1.5 crane rockers, guide plates, dual springs, 2.02 and 1.60 valves. Contact me if your interested and I will give you more details on these engines. Thx.

Nathan...if you're still checking this occasionally, the other local deal I found fell through. So basically I'm back to where I started. If you haven't sold yours yet, consider my interest reinstated. My only other options are 1200 for a remanufactured one; or one from somewhere across the country. Neither of which I like, but hey what I can do? Anyway, hit me back if you still have it.
----------
Meeklay...I do wanna put a 383 in my car...but of course that's only if I can find one I can afford. So, how much are you asking? I wouldn't be able to come up there to get it, so would shipping be okay?
