350 from a malibu
I have a T/A with a 305 4bbl and I can get a Malibu with a 350 4bbl for 500 bucks... canadian :P... so to make the swap.. all I have to do is put the 350 into my T/A, or do I need new parts to fit the new engine in my car?

Same stuff, just take all of the sensors out of your block and intake and screw them into the 350. The only problem you might run into is that one engine is a two piece rear main, and the other is a one piece rear main. No big deal though, just get the flexplate when you get the engine, and you won't have anything to worry about.

What years are the cars involved?
An old enough Malibu may have the dipstick on the driver's side. The tube won't clear 3rd gen exhaust manifolds (will clear headers, though ).

If the Malibu engine is an '81, you shouldn't have much trouble at all. I doubt the headers will fit in the 3rd gen chassis, though.
