'87 350 Swap for Scoggin Dickey Vortec 350
I am putting in a Scoggin Dickey Vortec 350 (vortec heads and intake manifold) for the stock '87 350 that came with my '87 IROC. There are some tight issues to deal with like the oil pressure gage, water pump bypass and the coil bracket and the A/C brackets. Has anyone done this swap that could share some tips for these issues? Also, I have the Edelbrock TES headers with AIR tubes and cannot weld the EGR bypass to the number 8 runner, can I attach to any runner? This swap is not as easy as I thought and I could use some tips. There is even a port on their EGR tube (very different from stock) that I don't know what it goes to. I will send SD an email, but I was hoping someone else did this swap. My A/C is on the driver side by the way.
