385 Fast Burn swap
I am thinking of installing a 385 Fastburn crate motor in my 88 IROC. I have read the tech article on switching the TPI to carb, but is that a good guide for installing a crate carb motor? Also will it fit under my stock hood?
P.S. I did a search, but didn't come across to much information

The guide for TPI to carb is pretty good. In the guide they don't like the Mallory fuel pressure regualtor but that is what I use and it seems to work fine for me. Is the intake on the Fastburn 385 a single plane or dual plane. If it is a dual you should be able to clear your hood with a drop down air filter setup. A single plane intake makes it pretty much impossible to clear the hood.

The intake is a dual plane. I am installing one now. Only i stuck with the TPI and am using a miniram with hot cam. It is the same as a ZZ4 only with the fastburn heads.
