This is what i want ne reason it wouldnt work?

i have a 76 350 4bolt
add 383 stroker kit
machine the block for roller lifters
aluminum fast burn heads
Accel super ram
emissions delete
a/c delete
6-speed
dunno what size cam yet i want the most horse power and still be pretty streetable. I know how to put everything together im just not real knowledgable about matchin parts yet. Like the cam size with the throttle body and the injectors and intake all that.
Any reason why i couldnt use the 76 block??

Don't bother. It's unnecessary. Just use the roller system that all the rest of us had been using for all the decades that we've been building roller motors, before the factory "invented" the wheel in the shape of a triangle. i.e. the type of roller lifter now referred to as "retrofit".

Other than taht, as long as they make the SR with the intake port location that will bolt up to Vortec heads (the FastBurn heads have the same raised intake port design). It's kind of pointless to spend a whole bunch of money on a set of heads and an intake if the ports don't connect to each other.

I drive by the Kroger once in a while on Fri afternoons.

I have a silver 83 HO Z28 with 87 IROC wheels on it (for now). The car could use paint. It has a 305 in it, looks extremely stock to the eye but isn't internally; I built it to pass smog where I lived before, where they had an extremely detailed visual and of course the dyno test.

Not if you put a SuperRam on it. I wouldn't even look at that, in case I might get sucked into touching it.

I've met the guy you're talking about, but I don't "know" him or anything. I haven't lived here very long.

IF smog legality is a concern....MAYBE I'd look at the SR.

But from a $$$$ vs. power standpoint, starting from SCRATCH...

I'd have to go with the Stealth Ram, a set of alum Pro Lightning Heads, and spend the remaining $$$ on the best internals and machine work I could afford. And of course picking the cam to complement the rest of the engine.

If you can custom burn your own PROM's, there is NO REASON that you can't put together a 450 hp / 450 ft lb 383 together for under $4k. Even cheaper if you do the assembly yourself and shop wisely...

I know where i can get a tpi system with all the intake sensors and tb,fuel rail all that just no wiring harness it has everything that is on the intake. Also is the mass air flow and the Speed density intakes different. Should i just start with that and get the super ram later would it be easier that way im unsure. I didnt know if it would be hard to just buy the intake and peice everything together. For the wiring harness i was thinkin of sendin out the tbi unit and getting it rewired then just buying a new ecm.Any sugestions??
