My new engine will be going into the car in a few weeks and i already have a prospect buyer for my old 305. How much do yall think would be a reasonable price to ask for this engine? It is the stock 92 305 wit 90,000 on it, im guessin a couple hundred?

if someone will take it without you having to pay them to haul it off you got a good deal.

I gave my old 305 away also, to avoid having to pay to get rid of it.

If I caught you disposing of it on my property (attempting to gift it to me), I would consider letting you continue to live if you picked it back up and hauled it off.

I would pay you about $15 for it, if you paid my travel to the scrap yard, and you met me at the gate with it, and you did all the lifting. It would have to be complete though; heads, crank, intake, etc. Wouldn't care about the tin. Doesn't weigh enough to matter to the value.

If I had one on my property, I would pay you to come get it, same as I would pay a clean-up man.

In other words: if you have somebody willing to actually pay you money for it, then any amount is good. Hell, you're getting a real good deal if they'll give you $5 for it. Consider yourself lucky. Most people around here can't even give those things away for free.

I think you're having a hard time figuring out, that all of these responses are serious. It has no value.

If you have a buyer, just take the offer and smile. For a used 305
with those miles and I assume you took the Intake system off, not worth much.

dude, if it is complete 100 bucks. if it isnt 75. Doesnt matter if it isnt worth a crap for performance. IF someone has a blown engine in thier car or truck, and has to have one to drive, they wont mind payign that little of an amount to get the car back on the road. Ive sold worse motors for more.

you got several straight answers the problem lies in the fact that they weren't the answer you were looking for.

with all the tin, sans intake, assembled ready to run with 90k on it... its worth around $50 IF you can find a buyer...

basicly, its only good as a extremely cheap "throw it in the junker and run her till she blows" kinda of thing.

expect to sell it to someone who doesnt know/care much about performance, and you'll be fine.

exactly, an old man with a pickup, or someone with an old passenger car, and its worth 50 or a 100 dollars. To someone with a thirdgen, not a whole lot.

worse comes to worse the scrap yards will take it. Some of them will try to have just give it to them, but around here, scrap iron is going in the ballpark of a dime a pound. With heads and all, they'd probably give you 20-30 bucks, depending on the salvage man.
