You neeed a 400 crankshaft, and the block has to be clearanced for the longer stroke so the rods don't hit the block.
Better heads are usually needed to take advantage of the power, as is a freer flowing intake system, which also requires a custom prom/chip (do it yourself - will work much netter and be cheaper in the end).
Then you may need to upgrade the tranny and rear end to get that power to the ground.
Just my

There are also cranks that are made with the longer stroke but 350 mains.
Basically a 383 is bored 30 over 350 block with a longer stroke crankshaft.
Not only are the pistons larger but they have slightly reallocated pins in them for the longer stroke.
Basically you'll need to have it balanced too.
Best thing is just to search this has been killed. BTW all these projects start out on a budget then get big eventually. I started a 383 acouple years back now it's a 7k+ dollar motor sitting in my bedroom.

Hey I'm an idiot who can't take a few seconds to realize that I'm not the first person in history who wants to make a 383. Now please repeat how to make one, step by step, in spanish.
