350 with EFI or no EFI?

I have a 92 bird that has a v6 that is beggining to dig its grave. A friend of mine and i have decided when i does die were putting a 350 in it. The only problem is were divided on what type of 350 it should be. I want it so if any of these little kids with the "R.I.C.E. machines" try to prove there the stuff i can prove them wrong. we know there were fuel injected and non EFI versions of this engine and he thinks go no EFI, from what i can gather you can then put a 4bbl on it ( im not a gear head i dont know much of this), while i think go EFI and put a turbo on it. HELP ME PLZ!!

your choice of induction depends on intended use and cash flow. you can turbo a carbed or FI car, doesnt matter. you probably want to pick a final destination before you start buying parts. then buy parts that will work with future upgrades.

the thing i mainly want done with this car is drive around town. But at the same time i want all the R.I.C.E machines in the area to realize that if you tangle with american muscle, you will become roadkill. thanks for any help

The main problem with trying to handle "R.I.C.E. machines" is neither one of you knows what you're up against. Ever seen a WRX run? Pretty impressive, right off the showroom floor. How about a 13-sec sprayed Acura? Can be rather humbling.

Now, if you're talking about Accords with nothing but fart cans and "Type R" windshield stickers, then even a mild EFI 350 will do just fine while yielding adequate fuel economy and very nice street manners. Of course, you can get similar results with a carb for less money, although the fuel economy isn't likely to be as good.

do a 350 swap, and get a NOS plate system. a small shot will put you over any mildly modified fujitsu car. ive found the sound of a v-8 scares small cars away anyway.

i have yet to see anything around my place that is not a fart can (nice word use 7kid). and i would like to keep my vehicle old school with a carbed engine, luckily i found out that Advanced sells remanufatured 350-4bbls fully assembled. And i agree that most of the little cars run at the sound of a V8 thanks agian guys "LONG LIVE THE MUSCLE CAR!"

you're best bet is to find one in something, even if you have to have it rebuilt. that way you get all the little things that go with it.
