The '86 has a one-piece rear main seal, which means the crank flywheel flange is different than the '72 two-piece rear main seal flange. You will need a flywheel for the '83-'85 f-body T5 application. Your '86 starter may or may not fit on the '72 block, but that's what you need. Check the starter mount bolt holes in the '72 block - if they're the same as the '86 block, it'll work.
The '86 has the oil dipstick on the passenger side. The '72 has the dipstick on the driver's side. The '86 manifold gets in the way of the dipstick tube, and the '72 manifolds won't fit in the chassis. Headers solves that problem (along with solving the restriction problem of the '86 manifolds).
The '86 305 has a knock sensor that is tuned for the 305. You need a knock sensor tuned for the 350. The knock sensor module also needs to be replaced for the same reason. This is assuming you plan to use the '86 carb and distributor on the '72 350 (highly recommended).
Everything else should transfer from the 305 to the 350.
