350 TPI 92 into V6 88 questions

Hey, im swaping a 350 with aut trans from a 92 camaro to a Firebird 88 V6 on a manual tranny as I stated in a topic and I have a couple of questions...

1. I have heard that the tahometer wont work.. Do I have to change just a tachometer? I would like to stay with my old gauges and just change that one... Will speedometer work even that its lower top speed..? I have heard that the 90-92 models have electric sensors instead of mechanical ones in before models, will it make any problem for me..? Also my oil pressure is different (0-40-80 instead of 0-30-60).. Wont my ECM gets crazy or something?
2. I belive I will have some problems with VATS system which I dont have. I dont have the module and dont have a steering wheel with it. I know that there is a way to bypass it but If I dont have a module I probably dont have cables from VATS going into ECM so where to use that resistor?
3. Motor mounts. Where can I get them..? Summit etc only sells bushings but not the metal parts.. Or is the TRD-4227 complete one..?
4. By swapping manual tranny into an autmatic one will I find any problems? Probably the harness inside the car is universal so I will be able to just plug a tranny..? Will just pluging the harness that came with the engine to the part in my fender (and of course changing the ECM) work or will I have to do something inside the car..?
5. Will my V6 fuel pump be able to feed the V8?

EDIT:
6. One more. I remember when I was disasembling my friends 92 Firebird there were like to ECMs, one was smaller, will I need it..? Also I saw at some ECM wiring info that the SD version has got 3 connectors, will it make any problems..?

1. You need to swap in a V8 Tach or universal. Your speedometer will work if your new transmission has VSS sensor on it.
2. Bypass vats, if your car does not have it then no worries.
3. Autozone sells the motor mounts. $10 a piece. The same mounts the V6 uses... just located differently
4. Automatic will work fine, just make sure you get an automatic PROM chip for your ECM that way it will lock up the transmission. You will need to do some wiring. You will need to add a pin to the ECM harness connector and wire up a neutral safety switch. Bypass the clutch switch. I will post up some schematics to show you later on this.
5. Technically yes. You will work it hard though. New pumps are $60 autozone.
6. Just take the whole harness and the ECM, and you will be all set.

2. How to bypass it? I probably have no wires to put the resistor in..? MY car dont have it but the new ECM will be looking for some info from VATS module?
3. So I can reuse my V6 ones? I will probably buy knew ones, but just curious..
4. Whats that automatic PROM chip for ECM? Wheres that? I have ECM with the engine and tranny... So Im waiting for schematics, thank you very much
6. I only have the harness that was under the hood + ECM. But like I said I remember that on 90-92 model there were something near ECM that looked like ECM (just a bit smaller) connected to harness inside the car which I dont have and I wonder is it important.. And I wonder how much it will be different inside the car to connect.

Re: 350 TPI 92 into V6 88 questions

Ok, short question about the sppedometer:

On the 92 car the VSS wires goes directly to the ECM from what I saw on the wiring diagrams, and then a grey wire goes to the speedo gauge (through IP connector, also called C207 I think)
On the 88 car i think that the same plug on the C207 is for a fan relay so I need to connect the grey speedo wire.. somewhere.. is that true..?
Also how about that yellow VSS that is at the passanger side..? Do I use it with a new motor..? Or do I reconnecto the wires to somewhere else..?
I a bit confused :P
