Engine: formula 305 TPI
Transmission: 5 speed
Axle/Gears: 3.45
newbie question motor 305or350?
i have a 89 formula firebird according to vin its a tpi 305 hes says its 350 how do i know?

(1) font passenger side engine block and head Vin stamp
(2) Driver side engine block casting just before the transmission
(3) Driver side engine block casting just below the 3rd spark plug (#5) just before the oil filter

88gta's got the right idea with where to find the casting numbers. www.mortec.com is great for determining where your motor came from and size. 350 swaps are very common and visually won't look any different, so casting is your best bet
