305 to 350 swap, flexplate issue
So I tried started the 350 I swapped into my TA and the starter was slipping and eventually cracked. It looks like the teeth on the flexplate aren't set back far enough for the starter to catch properly. My question is it possible to install the flexplate on these cars the wrong way cause it looks as off there's a offset and that if I flipped it around the starter would catch better. Any help is appreciated.

It's possible, but you'd notice when you tried to bolt up the torque converter.

Is your current block the same RMS as your old one? (i.e. 1 pc)

Yea its a one peice rear main, everything swapped over from the 305 so its pretty much identical except for the bore size. Its a 2nd gen block with tbi heads, '87 casting.
