3.6 LGX engine swap?

Re: 3.6 LGX engine swap?
you’ll likely run into weirdness with mounting, air intake, and especially exhaust. Not to mention the restrictions on tunnel space in the car, since you’ll HAVE to use a comparably modern transmission, or come up with an adapter kit if you want it auto. Probably easier if you’re going manual.
At the end of the day, you’ve gotta ask yourself what your goals are. Is this something you’re willing to put your wallet on the line to figure out? Is this something you REALLY want to do, and keep around indefinitely? Would a V8 swap meet the need? Would a modified stock V6 meet the need?

A 4.8 LS swap would be a better low cost alternative….lots of Chevy 2nd trucks had them and 300 plus hp and similar torque is OE output. Like Codyman said if you sell it a V8 is preferable to a V6….

that said, a 2017 dash is a whole ‘nother can of worms. Again, it’s all possible, just completely unproven. The time of the people who will be needed to help is expensive, but it can be bought. Cheaper if you know somebody, but I sure don’t.

If you can make it work than you are more skilled than I. But, being several generations removed from the third gen platform I would surmise everything is going to require fabrication install the dash as well as the motor. That sounds like a year plus project if you work full time and have family.
Good luck with whatever route you choose!
