Down to 2 exhaust choices, but

can't decide which to go with. It's either the Hooker Cat-back or the Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back. I have heard both and they sound good, but i'd like to see pics of them both from behind, underneath and from the side, kinda close up (like maybe 5 feet away).

IMO go with Flowmaster. To see how it looks check out this topic and posts by IROC350TPI. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=135934

I love the Flowmaster sound. I would go with the Flowmaster.

You want throaty and loud? = Flowmaster

You want only loud at WOT and quiet other times = Hooker

I would agree with the above that the hooker will be quieter at low rpms, but just as loud with full exhaust at WOT. I had both. If you only plan on a cat-back and want loud go with the flowmaster. Full exhaust(and cam) I like the hooker better though.

I would go with the Flow. I have 3 inch cat back series 80 flowmaster 3 1/2 inch tips both cats removed and a 3 inch exhaust cut out on my 91 Z28 5.7 TPI (L98). And man....does it scream! Even with the cut out plate on.....the flowmaster muffler itself has a nice loud deep aggressive tone and the interior resonance is pretty loud. So.....it kind of depends how loud you want your exhaust....if you want it to be like nascar loud.....get an exhaust cut out......but....it's WAY to loud for the street....just to warn you......but it's awesome!
