Can I install Hooker 2055s + y-pipe without a lift?

Long subject, but it says it all. I've had these sitting around for months. I've never tackled a project this big and I'm kinda hesitant to try this, especially with it being my daily driver. Would I need power tools? I've done searches but I haven't found any answers to these questions. Also, what else should I buy for the installation? I have 90* wire boots and I think I have loom seperators. Thanks!

You do need to get the car up in the air. 4 good jack stands is the right way to go, although you might be able to get by with ramps for two of the wheels.

Your current cat will not fit up to the 2055 y-pipe. This is the time to get a "real" cat, a TPI single-cat application is what you want. You may have to modify your cat-back to fit it to the new cat, but that shouldn't be too big of a deal for an exhaust shop. You can do the header & cat install, tie the cat-back up, and drive it to the shop for that last connection.

Cutting the AC bracket leg per the instructions is much easier with a torch or high speed cut-off wheel. A jig saw might do the trick, or saws-all. Otherwise, no power tools needed unless you want to quickly remove the old exhaust with a torch or saws-all.

All of my stock spark plug wires fit except one, which was straight boot stock - I just got another set and robbed a 90 degree from it (quickest solution). I also went with Accel shorty plugs, you might want to consider that, too.

I'd give myself a good weekend to get this done (meaning taking it to the exhaust shop Monday morning). I did it when I did all the other engine mods, with the engine out of the car, so I'm not really saying all this out of direct experience for what you're trying to do.

The "off-road pipe" didn't register, I did see the cat-back part.

If your "off-road pipe" fit your TBI stuff, it won't fit the 2055 y-pipe. The cat-back connections are (typically) specific to the application, even if it's 3" from there on back. So, guess you'll have to figure that out.

The off road pipe has a slip fitting over the y-pipe. The exhasut shop made a flare from the y-pipe to the off road pipe. It would have to be sawed off. Then I could get some of that temporary flexible exhaust hose stuff and run it from my Hooker y-pipe to the catback and go to the exhaust shop and have it welded up.
I'm still a little scared to try this though. The only things I've ever done to my car are the Ultimate TBI mods (remove TBI unit, grind away some material and radius the bowls), changed a hard fuel line, changed a blower motor, and changed a radiator motor. That's it. I also took out a radiator on a MUstang before. You think I can handle it??

I think you can handle it if you're willing to take your time and not get frustrated by little unexpected things (bolt hard to line up, something difficult to remove, etc.). Having someone around who has more experience would be helpful, even if it isn't "3rd gen header installation" specific.
