I just bought a project 83 and it has headers on it. They look like 1 5/8 primaries, stainless with air injection fittings capped off. They are shorties. I am thinking SLP. The problem I am having is with the collectors, they look like ball flanges but somebody put some kind of gasket in them, the passenger side is leaking but I dont want to tear it apart if it is supposed to have gaskets in it. I need somebody to tell me if it needs the gasket and what kind of headers they are.

There is a picture posted on this thread https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=150002 about 7 down. Is that what yours look like? Except for the coating, that is.

I don't have SLPs, but it looks to me like they use a donut gasket. Try emailing SLP and find out if they will sell you the gasket, or if a common replacement will work.
