Hooker 2055 Y-pipe question

Does the hooker 2055 Y-pipe change the location of the cat? Will any Cat-back made for the stock location fit right?

It's made to fit directly to the cat in '86-'90 TPI single-cat applications. So, any direct-fit cat & cat-back for that application would fit with the 2055's.

I Have to install the sytem on an 84. Is the cat location different for an 84 carb then the later tpi systems?

Not at all. Every year 3rd gens had the exaust in the same exact location. The only differences were in size.
