Banks cat-back questions

I know they have been discussed many times, however it is mostly like 2 people keeping the discussion going. Also, there is little information if you do a search. However, I know more and more people are getting it so hopefully more people have more information that a year ago.

1. For those of you who have had it, how has it help up?
2. Does anyone have any pics of it installed?
3. Does anyone have any soundclips or videos?
4. Does it have any fitment issues?
5. What type of modifications do you have to do to attach the 4th gen exits?
6. What do the 4th gen tips look like?

Thanks guys...:lala: :lala:

actually I think I was probably the first one to start reviving the banks system again,or close to the first one ..anyway,mine has been great!..it has held up well ,sounds amazing (and I do have a soundclip) and I also have the 4th gen tailpipes on mine.I believe there is several people on this board who have the same exit now as mine and many others who have the (2) on the same side exit.if you want the split tailpipes like mine, you just need to remove the 3rd gen muffler section and add in the 4th gen muffler section..then just make a simple hanger change and your done!..no big deal at all.If you want a soundclip PM me and I will e-mail it to you.most of us have bought from Entec because of their service, price and they are such cool people to deal with ..You can get them @ 801 265 0994 or www.enginetechandfab.com

on the link provided, where can I find a cat back for my car? I do not see any for camaro.

I have been talking about buying one of these systems for awhile, and well now i have to as i have holes in my exhaust. The price is great too.

so the catback exits with 2 on the left? if so thats what i want.

thanks for the info.

yes the standard cat back system will exit with 2 on the left side!...I do not think their website has the F body stuff up there yet though,so it is probably best to call and talk with Kenn...he will guide you in the right direction!

Just be sure to take into consideration that is going to take about 3 weeks once you order the system till you get it.

true. Does anyone have pics of it installed? how big are the tips with the 2OTL system? I just want something that will look decent, while performing great.

thanks. I am really confused now. I like the 2OTL, but I also like the 4th gen style. I am really stuck here. Which do you think I should go for?

it is total personal preferrence..I like the split tips but many like them on the left and it is really up to you..Sound and performance will be about the same

I have had the gale banks systeem on my car for about 8 years now . I ordered it from gale banks , that is how long I have had it . It is awsome looks great sounds even greater, I got complements on it all the time about the sound sorry no sound clips or pictures .It went in very easy I got the system that goes from the stock manifolds all the way back . Both tips exit on the driver side . No holes in it looks invery goog shape . I whould definetly recommend and buy again .

You can also get the system through Daminan at Torque and Chrome. Their prices are very competitive. Here is a picture of a Camaro with the Banks system and the dual outlets on the driver side.

I have had the Banks sytem in my 3rd gen. for 5 years. Like it alot. Nice and quiet on road trips. Can have windows down and carry on conversation with passenger. Will be on Power Tour this year. Sound reminds me of a Harley at 70 mph. Was not a big fan of side by side dual outlets but that can be modified to your taste. I have overdrive 700r and 3.23's so my rpm's may be lower than some of you but would recommend it for a sound you can live with.

Subzero - can you post a picture of your car with the dual exits (One on either side)?

just to clarify, you no longer need to modify the system for the 4th gen style exits. Banks will do it for you so it's reeady to go when you get it.

You just need to clarify that when you order. Technically, there is no such product, but due to demand, they'll do it. (at least through Entec).
