KITT holds the secret for true dual exhaust on a thirdgen
I found a video clip of KITT from knight rider doing some stunts and in one of the stunts they do "ski mode" where car gets up and 2 wheels. I noticed that the stunt car has what looks to be like real dual exhaust w/ an H pipe. There is no cat tho. Here is the screen capture:

OK I'm confused. It kind of looks like the driver side pipe goes over the tranny x-member, but I would think that would be impossible.

The passenger pipe follows essentially stock routing, the driver side pipe crosses over and goes between the frame rail and the transmission, above the crossmember.

I don't see any mufflers either. Looks like it's just straight pipes to the back.

Of all the dual setups i"ve seen, Willie has the best one I've laid my eye's on. Its clean, its tucked up nice'n tight. I'll bet it sounds wicked too, but I've never heard it.
Thanks! This should help:

That's at approximately half throttle without my supercharger installed.

I dont think that is an exhaust pipe. Looks like some kind of larger torque arm. You can see the original driver's side pipe that runs under the oil pan. Why would that still be on there if it has true duals? That means they somehow had to run the driver's side pipe back across under the car somewhere.

Looks like duals to me. Driver's side up in front of the pan to the passenger side, then back beside the transmission, over the crossmember, under the tailshaft back to the driver's side, and then beside the stock torque arm back to the muffler. With the passenger side pretty much staying stock w/o cat except going under the axle. All, apparently, so they could do an "H" pipe.

Somehow I thought a 21st century computerized talking car would look a little more high tech underneath.

Hey if anyone is interested. The Knight Rider episode that shot comes from is called "Slammin Sammy's Stuntshow Spectacular".
