Car: '63 Chevy II SS
Engine: '85 350 TPI
Transmission: TH-700R4
Two weeks ago, I installed a Hooker AeroChamber on my '84 and used the existing tailpipes. It's not loud, but it's not quiet either. It has a nice healthy rumble to it. Keep searching, there's plenty of stock replacement, single in, dual out mufflers out there.

i'm thinking that if i cant find anything cheap, i'll just get an electronic cut-out an put it on the y pipe. but what about back pressure?...i dont know...i want something that has a good rumbling sound but then i want to be able to have it straight pipes..

Car: Old man car till I get another 3rd Gen
Engine: at least it's a V8
Transmission: Wrong wheel drive. Makes no difference to me.
Dynomax makes a single in, dual out replacement muffler for about $50. At least that's how much it was when I did mine.
