Full Exhaust suggestions PLEASE!
lright guys, i really don't want to hear " use the search button" because ive tried. Im not firmiliar with much threads becasue im fairly new to this so it becomes a big hassle. now on to what i actually need.
The car is an 87 Iroc 350 Carb SINGLE CAT
I now have a catback exhaust on my car. Im not sure what's on there, as i did not do the work. I need a suggestion on a full exhaust. Im not really happy with my current sound, its definitely loud, but doesnt have that LOW rumble that im looking for. Depending on the cash i can get, im MOST LIKELY going to go with 1 3/4 hedman, hooker or SLP. just chime and and suggest something to me. I know those are gonna be loud.
But as for the catback exhaust. Im most likely just gonna buy a cheaper hiflow cat, most likely magnaflow or something, as long as its high flow it will do. I have no smog/emission checks here in pa, but i might as well have one there, b/c for inspection they put it on a alift, so they would see it. I would keep my cat that i have now, its hollowed, but thanks to the uneven speeed bumps, the shield or whatever, is occasionally vibrating agaisnt it and it bothers me sooo much! As for the catback. Im not really sure on what to get. I've been reading and seeing that the SLP loudmouth is pretty loud( as said by the name) and fits the 82-92 camaros. What kind of work will i be getting myself into? Other than that, what do you suggest i get? I already decided, no flowmaster, they are very restrictive, as i read numerous times. What do you guys suggest i get?? Any price range sounds good.
anything that is going to give me that LOW LOW rumble and be louder. 3" all the way i presume?

Dig,
Note the first pic. The y-pipe hangs below the cross member by perhaps an inch--caused by the mandrel bends, I suspect. The stock y-pipe on the L69 exhaust I was formerly using was ovaled to gain clearance, and as a consequence, it didn't drop below the cross member.
By the way, Carlo, this system is bolt on.

try doing a dynomax bullet, the long one... 18inch body. should be real deep and kinda loud. i'm gettin mine on as soon as it comes in, which should be next week. so if you want to wait...i will get a clip of it and you can hear it.
else try running a split like the GMMG exhaust but with two bullets. thats plan B for me if the single is TOO loud. LOL
also check out the dynomax round ultra flo's. they are sick on flow numbers! they crush everyone and should flow nicely. at about 70 bucks, that aint bad
i got hooker shortie headers, and a flowmaster 80 series now. stock cat... all on a stock L98 350 TPI motor.
heres the sound now, check my sig for my exhaust...

take a look at the banks stinger catback, you'd have to order it and wait a few weeks, but it's got some of the best flow on the market. great quality, stainless steel, 300 bucks.
