Mufflex Exhaust

Mufflex Exhaust
Just completed installing a Mufflex 4" system on my 1983 TA. Super Comp headers, 3" Y pipe to 4" single Exhaust pipe and 4" Spintech Muffler.
Fits really well. I was amazed. Definitely sounds different than duals. But has very little back pressure on my 383 SB.
This was one of the easiest installs I've ever had. I know this system is expensive($800) but it sure is nice.

Which system did you order from Mufflex? Single or dual catalyst? Just trying to figure out which one I have to order. Awesome exhaust!!

Mufflex Exhaust
Joesph,
This exhaust uses:
Hooker Super Comp Headers 1 3/4"
TPI-Y Off road Y pipe 3" collectors to 4" Single pipe.
PN82402CS 4" Catback w/ 4" Spintech muffler.
Here's another pic.
BTW just had a chance to take it to the track. New motor (383) and exhaust. Plus a Powershot plate. Ran a 8.00 @ 93MPH right out of the box. Now for some tuning and more juice!

the more i look at it the more i like it and it seems to be both effective and cost effective. are the super comps included in the $800 sticker?
did you have to do any modification or just bolt this up?

Great pic! I talked to Denny at Mufflex and he told me that he can fab up the 82402CS to fit my Borla XR-1 Racing Muffler. I'll be going to his shop this thursday morning since I live about 45 mins away. Oh yeah, btw, I'll be driving there the GTA there with just the Hooker Super Comps and Mufflex Y!! ("Gee wiz officer, I don't know what happened, I think my muffler just fell off! I'm on my way to get it fixed right now." hehehehhee) I'll take some pics when it's all together at the Mufflex shop.
I'm not that experienced on 1/8 mile times but it looks like you're running low 12's @11x mph with those #'s!! Impressive with no tuning and all that on a stock 10 bolt rear and M/T ET Streets?? hhhhhmmmmmmm........ but that's a whole other topic.....gotta love the "JUICE ABUSE!!!!"

Mufflex exhaust
No, the Super comps are not included in the price of the exhaust. And no, there are no other mods.
Also, I'm not running a completely stock rearend. I've got an Eaton posi and 3.73 gears. Also, I'm running ET drag radials (275/50X15) on 10" wide wheels.
However, the rearend may be living on borrowed time. Especially when the bigger plate goes on. I'm concerned that if/when I hook this b***h to the track I may be installing a 9" conversion.
