Did I lose performance with my exhaust set up?

Did I lose performance with my exhaust set up?
I was wondering about my exhaust set up. I just put high flow cats on(dual cats) and I also went with no muffler, just stright pipes from the cats all the way to the back. I love how it sounds ecspecially when I step on it but I was wondeing if I lost horse power and torque by not putting a muffler on. A friend gave me his flowmaster set up from his camaro, Should I go with the flowmaster instead?

you have the same setup as i do.... dual cats and thats it! anyways your not losing performance by not having a muffler... so if you like the sound then stick with it! it'll probably sound better then the flowmaster....

I would let it be.
I went with shorty headers with a 3" collector to a magnaflow 3" dia cat. I know a gut that ows a shop and lets me use his dino for free.
I got an extra 23 horse and 27 lb ft - granted my can is not stock. I loved the way it sounded but was curious about the same thing as you. So, we tacked on a flowmaster 40 series and lost about 7 and 7. And even though its not much, it is still extra weight. i have about 2 ft of pipe after my collector, my cat and that's it; why ad the steel when you don't really need it?

But you should be alright, you still have cats and the pipes go all the way to the back right? I'd say you're fine.
