Stock exhaust from 2000+ Z28 or SS ... Your Opinion?
The only reason I'm considering this idea is because I need to make my car as quiet as possible. Here's the scenario ... 89 IROC-Z w/ a very mild L98, Edelbrock TES headers, deleted CAT, 2.5" piping, and currently a Borla XS muffler. Our local track closed and my car is going through a transition to become more street friendly when having fun (if you know what I mean). Part of this includes the noise level at WOT. The car is not very loud right now but I want to do everything possible to make it as quiet as possible. Lucky for me I have a stock exhaust (midpipe back) from a 4th gen LS1 car sitting around. I think it was a 2002 Z28 but I'm not 100% certain. Considering how much power LS1 cars make from the factory, and the fact that my L98 is very mild, do you guys think I would see a performance decrease from installing the OEM 4th gen exhaust from midpipe back? Should I be researching flow comparisons here?

if you really want to be quiet you can add a resonator and quieter muffler piping size really doesnt play too much compared to those 2 factors.
