Eledbrocks installed, video soon!
This is just an overview of my header experience for anyone who wants to know. I installed some edelbrock t.e.s about a month ago but due to transmission problems didnt get her on the road until tonight. My set up now is Edelbrock t.e.s headers, to a new-ish high flow cat, then amercian thunder cat back.
As for the installation, id have to say it was pretty easy. I only had trouble with the back 2 bolts on the driver side, other than that the manifolds came right off. The only major problem i had was getting the old y pipe off my cat, eventually just sawed it. Dropping the headers in was much much much easier than i thought it would be from reading stuff on the site. I already had done an a/c delete so i didnt have to worry about that, i just took off the hoses on the pass. side and the valve cover on the driver side, both headers slipped in in literally less than 30 seconds.
As for the sound, at idle it isnt much louder than when i just had the flowmaster cat back, but a ton more bass. Sitting at stop lights it was almost like i was listening to some rap with the bass all the way up. Acceration is the same in the low rpm's just meaner sounding, but the most difference is at higher rpms where with just manifolds it dronned out, now it just a loud, mean, scream.
Definetly taking a video tomorrow so hopefully i can get it on here.
