Okk i think 3rd gens sound good no matter what, and i got a 85 with 3" with a electric exhaust cutout... but i also love the sound of a nice flowmaster... so if i had my cutout open, would my car basicly sound like ****? or ??? i really dont know...
thanks

wait, you have an electric cutout... So you tell us - how does it sound with the cutout open?

If you have the cutout open, it doesn't really matter what muffler is on there, most of the flow is going out the cutout. But with it closed, that's when you'd notice it.
I'd just save the cash on the flowmaster, if you want the nice sound, open the cutout, if you don't want to get pulled over, you can leave it closed and drive along like a good little boy.

A carbed application (and a 305 vs an LS1) will sound pretty drastically different. FWIW, a carbed motor always has a nice exhaust note then an FI motor, in my opinion.

hmm, nah, i've got the PMD seats in my car now, they're pretty comfortable, I think i'll get them recovered... Racing seats are too ***** for me.
