Full Exhaust System

Does anyone make a complete exhaust system for 82-92 camaro from the headers back? Would like an x-pipe and tail pipes out the rear? Any one have any ideas other than a complete fab?

Re: Full Exhaust System

The only thing you can buy "bolt on" is a stock stlye exhaust.

You can get the shorty headers and a Y-pipe with them to fit the stock locations. Then a catback setup of your choice.

Other than that dynomax sells a ghetto full dual system to work with their shortys but its only 2.25" tube and is supposed to be bad for ground clearance and doesnt feature any H or X equalisation setup.

If your looking for true duals its going to be a fab job!

Re: Full Exhaust System

To my knowledge no aftermarket company makes a complete stand alone exhaust kit that replaces everything from the motor to tail pipe. There are however many companies that make the necessary components to piece together an entire system. You can even mix and match which is commonly done with great success. You just want to make sure you order everything tailored for an 86 or later TPI car. That way everything comes 3" will all necessary 3" mating surfaces/flanges. For instance, you could buy (insert cat-back of choice) and bolt on a Cat-Co TPI replacement 3" cat (9118 I think) and then slip it onto the y-pipe that comes with the header kit of your choice.

I have run

Hooker cat-back
Cat-Co 3" cat
Flowtech headers with 2.5" reducer to mate to 3" cat (flowtechs do not have a 3" y-pipe)

I now run

Hooker cat-back
Cat-Co 3" cat
SLP headers

Three brands but all for TPI applications that bolted together.

Re: Full Exhaust System

Does this Cat-Co make a pipe to replace the Cat?

Michigan, no smog/cat converter rules...

Re: Full Exhaust System

I saw some posts somewhere with pictures of a full exhaust system w/ crossover pipe and true duals. Do a search. If I remember correctly, it still even had some ground clearance!

Re: Full Exhaust System

I want those huge hooker headers, like part # 2201 or something.. It doesn't matter if I go true duals or a single after the x or y pipe, I just need max. outflow, very nonrestrictive.. a supercharger is in this motors future..
