Ok heres some vids of my Borla sound. I used a small digital camera to try and capture the sound but it just dont cut it. It is way louder than what the camera says.

The revs are all to about 5500 and idle is about 850-900 with the under-drives and small balancer I have no problem gettin up in the rpm's

Traction? I have none! still on street tires and can nail it going 30mph and cut a 30' or more black mark.

I still have yet to get the car tuned so im thinking im running a tad rich and getting some blow by cause of my ring gap.

anyways just wanted to post up some sounds.

I dont have either of the plates in it..so its wide open. I dont have a cat either. Just long tubes, custom y-pipe going right into the Borla.

You can also see that even with no plate sound and exhaust still goes thru the muffler so it not just a straight thru to the passenger tip like some have said with the Borla style cutout.

Hows the cam sound? it might be a little lopey'r if I was to bring the idle down but I just dont like sitting at red lights with it that low and the cam card says idle rpms @850 so thats where I got it set.

Now? about that smoke coming out of the tail pipe? whats that look like?

i never understood the reason for the borla adjustable plates... if you want loud it doesnt make much sense to just put a hole in the exhaust to make it somewhat straight pipes, just run a louder muffler.

But it does sound pretty good. Idle sounds great, i really like it. not too choppy but not stock I'd love to hear it on a dyno or a street run under some load

i'm curious what your combo makes and definately like to hear that exhaust under full load. free revs are one thing but the car is different under load. i loved hearing mine for the first time on the dyno

yeah Im curious also to see what it makes outta the box no tuning what so ever except for the mail order tune from Jamy which im pretty sure is running a tad rich and other stuff.

Buddy has this setup on his '88 IROC. His car was the clip you posted in the other thread. His car is very loud, always know when he drives by the house. It's a little rich for my blood to buy something like that but damn it's a nice system. I'm running Hooker headers, custom Y-pipe, Dynatech cat and an SLP loudmouth with a Bullet muffler instead of the SLP one. Pics and Clips coming spring.

I'll see what I can do about a drive-by or something.
Maybe I can get my friend in his 700rwhp Cobra to take a vid. I try to keep up with him but I just dont have enough, before he got his drag radials I can leave him from a 30 kick but as soon as he hits mid to top of 3rd gear he's ****in GONE!!!! maybe and that s a big maybe when I start using the 100 hit he will be playing catch up to much and wont catch me.
