Single 3" bullet and location.
Ive been thinking of taking my hooker catback off and replacing it with a single Bullet. I would like put a flange on the bullet so I can mount it where the hooker connects with the over the axle pipe. I was also thinking about cutting and mounting the bullet under the car with a turndown. I would think that the shortest exit would have the best flow but would the rear exit really affect it alot since it would be 3" all the way back?

yes it will. the longer the tail pipe the more bends. the more bends the more restriction. obviously with restriction, hp goes out the window. but it wont affect it so much that you'll notice anything i'd think. it should be fine. it is really your preference. i ran a 2 1/2" diameter 12" glasspack dumped under the car and it was cool for a while. just sounds like a farm truck to me.

The shorter 3" bullet sounds awesome dumped before the rearend. On my 95 Z28 I have edelbrock shorties and y-pipe, gutted cat, and the Bullet with a turndown. It idles like there isn't a muffler, wide open throttle is noticeably quieter. In a good way though. Also gets rid of the popping on deceleration.
