side exit duals

ok i have a 87 t/a i actually "want" dual side exits. I bought a set of reactive? oval SS tips and want them to exit before the rear tires parallel. a have a set of one chamber 2.5 inch mufflers. Can it be done using the stock manifolds and running straight pipe back then 90 degrees out the sides?

Re: side exit duals

Notch the GFX so you can tuck the tips up into the notched section. I would do this if I ever go to true duals. Like this roush F-150...

Re: side exit duals

Thanks, but wouldn't if you notch the efx you would just have your rocker panel in the way?

Oval tubing would make the job a lot easier http://www.spintechmufflers.com/spin...ntechindex.asp

Re: side exit duals

yeah I'm pretty sure the GFX are just over the rockers not below them.
