Borla isn't cheap. Their mufflers start around $150 bucks. If you want Stainless Steel, go with Magnaflow. They cost less and sound just as good if not better. I had the Borla F-body muffler years ago and loved it, but now my choice is either Hooker or Magnaflow. Good luck!

well the thing is my fiend just boaught a 91 blue rs, exactly like mine with a flowy on it. the only difference on it is the car is stick. im realy not sure if borla, flowmaster and manga have a similar sound. realy havent searched much.
i was wondering if they were a good muffler or not.
thank you david

i have a borla on my car and it is mellow at idle...it really comes alive though at deep throttle...it sounds nothing like a flowmaster

I have a 3" catback all the way to the Borla muffler. The Borla is the 3" stainless steel with dual outlets.
Its quiet, if you like quiet and flow, Borla is the way to go. Its not Cadillac quiet but its not obnoxiously loud like a Flowmaster. BTW, Borla outflows "Flowmaster".
For a cruiser or a daily driver, it will not drive you crazy.
It may sound different if you take the cat off or if you have a bigger engine. I heard the same muffler on a chevy pickup and it was really mellow at idle, like you know the power is there and really sounded good when he revved it up.
We did a track video of my car on the drag strip and all you heard was the tire chirp and that was it.

Re: any one have a borla muffler.
how does that flow restriction work? will it cut down on the flow when you put that drivers side tail pipe on quiet.
with one pipe flowing in a restricted pipe to the rear mode and the other going into the muffler - the setup just a bit crazy. if you cut down on the flow the passenger pipe gets restricted and the drivers flows right through the muffler and out the back.
that has to effect performance.

Re: any one have a borla muffler.
You would think it would, wouldn't you? That's why I've thought about going 'true dual' with 2 Borla Mufflers and putting one on each pipe and restricting so only the one side flows... y'know? Maybe just weld the 'adjustable' side shut... Really, I think the MagnaFlow sound is Just as good. But, you can't beat the Borla Name IMO.
Screw em both, I'm going with DynoMax Bullets! Haha

I have had a Borla muffler for years with the dual cat setup. Mine exits both pipes on the passenger side. Sweet and mello until you get on it and not too loud. Sounds throaty.
