Help on exhaust, few repeats, some new.
I am fed up with the setup I have now. Constant leaks at the y-pipe, cant access plugs, dragging the mid pipe, uneven tips at the bumper.
The only thing I like now is sound. Its a flowmaster, but It was put on before I bought it and dont know what series it is. Any way to tell from outside the case? It was typical 2.5in, dual 2.5 out.
Next.
Headers. I see the 2055 are most recommended, but people are putting shortie plugs in. Is that NEEDED, or recommended? Really how hard are the 6,8 plugs to get to? Any special tools needed? I want these due to the 2.5" opening.
Does anyone have the hedman 68481? What about plug access? What is the actual collector opening size? I know the y-pipe needs work. Will the 2.25 help on low end torque (its an around town car).
I am not seeing a direct fit 3" converter anymore. Does anyone make the "tab" down at the converter that I can weld on to a universal?
Also, I no longer want dual pipes hanging out the rear, I plan to do a 3" single in, single out tucked up n under. I am debating on a 3" dump, or what would a 4" dump sound like?
Does anyone have a sound clip of a borla muffler? Its not in the stickie.
