header wrap on edlebrock coated headers
A couple years ago, I purchased edelbrock ceramic coated headers thinking that the coating would do a great deal to reduce under hood temps. Well, I soon found out that the coating doesnt seem to do much of anything, and everytime I start the car my worst fear is melting something. So my questions are as follows:
Has anyone ever used header wrap on ceramic coated headers?
I have read both good and bad about header wrap, does anyone have any success stories with wrapping these headers or any coated headers?
And before you start screaming Jethot, Im on a seriously limited budget, so another coating is out of the question.

Re: header wrap on edlebrock coated headers
Well for starters how hot are your under hood temps getting? I personally wouldn't put wraps on a DD exhaust as it causes the headertubes to rust out too quickly. Having a proper cooling system is more beneficial than wraps. All air into the engine bay should be directed only through the radiator, the outlet can be under the car or through a vent in the hood but after the engine.
