A/F gauge

hello im running a carbed 400 sbc and i figure i should use an air fuel ratio gauge for safety and tuning.do i need an o2 sensor on both sides just incase one bank isnt running the same somehow?because i know hondas only have one pipe out so theres no need for more than one,so what do i do here just use one wideband and thats it?

Re: A/F gauge

Check this out mine work well but I replace R1 with a 5k pot and make sure to tune them to 0-1V

Re: A/F gauge

One will be fine. Don't bother with a narrowband sensor.

exactly.. those autometer ones that run off the O2 sensor dont really tell you whats going on with the car.

you need a Wide Band O2 sensor from Innovative, but i wouldnt leave it plugged in all the time, just for tuning purposes, then remove it. Those sensors are not cheap.

the whole system is about 375-400$

Prices have come down quite a bit in the past few years. A complete LC-1 WBO2 kit with gauge from Innovate is only $299. It's the kit I have been running for the past 3 years, plugged in all the time. There is no reason to remove it.

Re: A/F gauge

I'm using AEM UEGO Wideband sensor and leave it plugged in all the time. It was a great aid in dialing in a Q-Jet I had rebuilt. Here is a link http://www.aemelectronics.com/wideba...fuel-gauge-25/ Wideband is the way to go.

Re: A/F gauge

I am looking at either an AEM 30-4100 system or Innovate 3796. They both sell for around $170. Am I missing something?
