Poor idle and Catalytic Converters

When I had my emissions done a couple months ago they said the NOX were reading a little high but within spec. He said cats are going to be a repair I'll need soon. When I had the car out last night I noticed that the idle was a little rough. I also noticed that it was not smooth thru the gears but only untill I got up to about 2000-2500 rpm. I've been doing some reading in the archives and before I start throwing parts at it was wondering if the cats can cause this? I'm thinking it is this or it is time for the injectors to be changed. I know the cats have to be changed out for emissions soon but $425 for cats now or $200 and 6+ hours for injectors. Or do I just stop and go buy a 5th gen and not worry about it?

Re: Poor idle and Catalytic Converters

A cat would have to be so bad that the car wouldn't accelerate to cause an idle problem
