Header Question

I have a set of full length headers I bought used on craigslist for $20. The guy told me they came off a 86 Camaro but so far I haven't been able to get them to fit. How should I be putting them on or did the guy lie to me? I mean it's no big deal because I only spent $20, but I would like to know how you put full length headers on these cars.

you have to jack the car up really high and put them from the bottom its a pain I have the headmens headers on mine and it took me 2 days because I had to take a hammer to the passenger side header so it can set right on the frame of the car

Damn I was afraid it would have to be done this way. When you try to put them in from the bottom do I have to put them in going straight up or at an angle?
