4th gen Hooker catback installed
Got this system for . . . wait for it . . . $20. Guy had it hanging out in his garage after he sold his 4th gen Firebird and damn near gave it away. So I bought it and had my local Meineke weld it up. Just had to add about a foot of pipe to connect to the cat, and weld up everything else that usually is secured by clamps.
Here's a quick cold start vid. Couple revs up to 3k then final rev to 5k.
All in all I like it. It sounds much louder in this video than it does in cabin. I hear more of the front of the engine than the exhaust. Not a bad sound at all, just on the quieter side. Maybe in a few years I'll switch to a Magnaflow muffler.
