My longtube headers and homemade Y pipe. :)
Hey Yall, just this past 2 months ago I was able to get a cam and header swap done on my camaro. My header upgrade was to the set of Hedman longtubes. For me the install of them was pretty easy, it just required taking all of the spark plugs out and they slipped in from the bottom of the car. The headers cleared really well and had no fitment issues.
The next problem to tackle with longtubes on this car was getting my exhaust rigged up. I was able to accomplish it pretty easily with junk 2.5in pipe with bends that i had laying around my shop, the only other pieces i had to buy were a few 2.5 connectors and a y piece which i purchased from advance auto for $6.Here is some photos of the finished work below.
I have no clearance issues what so ever and I am also riding with a dramatically lowered car, the pipes do not hang down and cannon be seen under the car from a distance.
The rest of my exhaust system after the Y goes into a dynomax bullet and dumps just past the rear axle, (sounds great)
The last photo I have attached here is a comparison to a piece made by a muffler shop(bottom) and my homemade y pipe(top)

Not yet, I definitely will get some. It turned out really good. I have a total of about 4 hrs in fabrication of it.

As far as running a dynomax bullet for a muffler here's how it sounds. I'd recommend it
