Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 2.77 open
that's pretty nifty, but aren't they usually connected directly to the strut tower?

with our cars it does not need to be connected directly to the top of the strut, as the entire sheet metal "strut tower" is what flexes. most bars attach just like his.

looks good man, does that smaller rear bit actualy contact the engine?

its not making any contact with the engine it is very close though! on the rear peice its not square tubing its smaller c-channel for some extra clearance. im not even sure if that part even helps with strenght though. and ive heard its bad to connect it directly to the struts, not sure why though.

The reason that comes to my mind is that the brace could force the strut out of position and ruin the alignment. It looks good, but the pictures make it look really close and I wonder if there is sufficient room for the motor to torque without hitting it.

ive pushed the car to its limits for the past few days and removed it, ive checked for any signs of touching and the only thing i see is that it was touching the hood, but im gunna keep an eye on it make sure it doesnt hit. aperntly only have an inch or so between the hood and the engine so i had to make it a bit tight.
